1. Grand Lake
This beautiful Lake is located 98 miles outside of Denver and is right before the Rocky Mountain National Park. This lake is nothing short of wonderful! Here at Grand Lake you can rent boats, paddle board, tub, water ski, wakeboard, wake surf, kayak, fish, or even just jump in for a quick dip! Grand Lake is known for their summer and winter activities making it a local favorite! In the evenings walk the town and watch the sunset eating locally made ice cream!
2. Cherry Creek Reservoir
This lake is located in Denver Colorado in the Cherry Creek area. The lake is bordered with beautiful big trees and from a distance you can see downtown Denver and the mountain range! Take in the sunshine by boating, paddle boarding, fishing, kayaking, or swimming! There is a great designated swim area so it is swimmer friendly! Cherry Creek, unlike other reservoirs, has nice sandy beaches that make for the perfect place to camp out all day!

3. Boulder Reservoir
The Boulder Reservoir is located in the city of Boulder, Colorado just about an hour north of Denver. This body of water is great for swimming, boating, and fishing! If you are bringing a watercraft even if it is not motorized be sure to check out the lake's permit requirements. Boulder Reservoir is another fan favorite because of the gorgeous mountain backdrop.
4. Horsetooth Reservoir
This lake is located west of Fort Collins, Colorado and is truly home to the prettiest views out of all the swimmable lakes. This lake with its gorgeous views makes it a great spot for sightseeing and hiking in the winter and the summer! Cool off on those hot days by swimming, boating, or paddle boarding!

5. Lake Pueblo State Park
The Pueblo State Park Reservoir is a fan favorite to locals because of how big it is! This lake is located in Pueblo, Colorado and has over 60 miles of shoreline. There is room for everybody so it is the ideal lake if you are going to be jet skiing, boating, fishing, or paddle boarding! This lake has a ton of hidden coves, so it makes it easy to find a private spot for either camping out for the day or fishing undisturbed!
