Lake Powell is the Best Lake in America located between the Arizona and Utah borders, it is home to some of the most stunning lake views. Lake Powell is the perfect place for sightseeing, a chill day on sandy beaches, a week of house-boating, or even playing on the water for the day.
The uniqueness of Lake Powell is its beautiful red rock canyon formations, cliffs, and towers that will take your breath away. If you're looking for an adventurous lake day, this is the place for you. The lake is over 250 miles providing plenty of room for all boaters and explorers to play on its waters. As I mentioned, Lake Powell is huge, giving all of its visitors plenty of space to soak up the sunshine! Lots of people enjoy boating, houseboating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and even camping plus a ton of other stuff. If you love lake life Lake Powell is the perfect place for you.
Lake Powell is the Best Lake in America, and is one of our families favorite places in the world. We grew up houseboating for almost every summer and made some of the sweetest memories. We highly recommend Lake Powell to anyone who loves water and for sure urge everyone to see and experience Lake Powell at least once in their life (but trust me once you go you'll be there every year).

Travel Guide
Here are some travel tips from someone who has been to Lake Powell many times.
So first things first if you're wanting to rent a speedboat, pontoon, or even jet skis look to rent outside of just the marina to stroke the best deals (you may have to drive a little but aways, but lake toys are so worth it). As mentioned, Lake Powell is a canyon and the water levels can change drastically fast, so as always when driving any vehicle be extremely cautious and responsible on the water. If you love activities, renting a boat might be perfect for you so you can go fishing, tubing, wakeboarding, wake surfing, knee boarding, water skiing or have a vehicle to get out on the water and sight see!
In addition, by having a day boat you can drive to see some of Lake Powell's famous attractions that can only be seen by boat! Some must see places are Domingues Butte, Tower Butte, Cookie Jar Butte, Rainbow Bridge, Glen Canyon Dam, and Antelope Point Marina along with a ton others!

Secondly, if you're looking to experience the lake for a longer period of time we highly recommend renting a houseboat! Lake Powell has tons of sandy beaches you can beach your house boat at, this truly is the ultimate Lake Powell experience! By staying on a houseboat you really can immerse yourself in lake life and experience Powell to its fullest! Swim and play all day on the beach and water and then at night have a campfire on the beach and then sleep right on the water!

Thirdly, If you are just wanting to see the lake from the shore the Wahweap Marina is a great place to hangout! Wahweap Marina has a variety of restaurants to eat at and stores to shop around. Also the beach right on Wahweap has a beautiful view of the lake! Looking to stay a few nights? Stay right at the Wahweap Marina Hotel! Our last trip to Powell was only a few days so instead of houseboating we stayed at the Marina Hotel and then parked our rented boat in a slip at night and played out on the water during the day!
Lake Powell is the Best Lake in America hands down, a visit there will be well worth your time! Make your next family trip to Lake Powell and experience all that it has to offer! This lake truly has something that everyone will enjoy!
