Lake Tahoe is a must see destination for any adventure or nature lover out there! There is nothing quite like Lake Tahoe with its stunning backdrop, crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and an exciting night life. Last summer Ashley and I went on a week-long trip with our grandparents who have been going for years. We had not been to the lake since we were little girls, but it was just as magical as we had remembered. We created a list of what we think the Best Things to do at Lake Tahoe in the Summer are!

Best Things to do at Lake Tahoe in the Summer
Boating
Lake Tahoe is the perfect destination for boating! With over 72 miles of shoreline there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Spend the day tubing, water skiing, or wakeboarding on the crystal blue water. You can even park your boat off of the sandy beaches and enjoy a relaxing day of swimming and floating.
Swimming
At Lake Tahoe you don't have to have a boat to enjoy the water because there are plenty of designated swimming areas! Pick any of the 6 swimming beaches to cool off and camp out for the day! These areas are great for young swimmers, floaters, and snorkelers to be undisturbed by boaters!
Emerald Bay State Park
Be sure to check out Emerald Bay State Park for breathtaking views of the Lake and the remote island in the middle of the bay! This is a great spot for hiking and sightseeing for people of all ages! Please note that you can not drive vehicles down to the lake and Fannette Island is only accessible by boat!

Lake Tahoe is home to hiking trails with breathtaking views! Be surrounded by towering Pine trees and listen to the swaying Aspens as you take in the view of Lake Tahoe's crystal clear blue water!
